All my life I felt like I was being forced to change, my parents hated it and all my friends stopped coming by since the incident. I work with steel. Not just any old steel, but "funky" steel. This may come to a shocker to you but, I have spent the LAST THREE YEARS working with this steel. No one wants to see me anymore and I always end up making a mess of myself. I am a clubber you see, and when my favorite hobbies clubbing and funky steel came together I knew from this point on there was no turning back. Every night I would head downtown and try to sell my new products just to get a taste of the good life. I would gamble all my money away so fast, some nights i couldn't close my wallet and other nights I would be thrown out with nothing in my pocket.
- I sell funky steel
I started turning to the bottle for comfort, life with funky steel was nothing like i thought it would be. I wanted a way out, it was like I was trapped in a steel box. Then came the worst night of my life. I woke up at 3 am in the morning craving funky steel, I needed it. All of a sudden I blacked out and opened my eyes for the first time in 3 days in a hospital, if it wasn't for my boss checking in on me, I don't think I would be here today. I smacked my head on funky steel and i had little pieces in all my limbs, it was a miracle I wasn't dead.
From that day on I knew I had to change. I took a break from the "fast" life and took it slow. I started liking my funky steel again, I was back with a stable job. I was working in my office one morning when the love of my life came before my eyes for the first time. She needed an order of funky steel for her friends that were coming over that day. I gave her the steel and went back home. That whole night I couldn't stop thinking of this mighty women. Tuesday came around and she came back for another order. This time i asked her for her name and asked if she was free tonight. She accept the offer for a night out and told me her name was Layla. We went out that night and I asked her to stay over my night. The next morning she packed up her things and left. Before she left my apartment she asked if she could work at my funky steel store with me. Things were getting quite hard so i accepted.
Two nights passed and she came for her first time on the job. She was very handy with the steel and i could tell she had experience with funky steel before. With her in the store it felt like heaven, more customers came and she would always lift the mood. We redecorated the whole store and as a result we were now one of the best places to get funky steel in all of Philadelphia.
What happened next was unthinkable, I came into the store in the morning and saw that Layla was not there. I assumed she was running late or she was sick. After work I stopped over her place. The lights were off and there was no one else in sight. I walked up to the door and grabbed the handle. I opened up and saw the worst site i could ever see. Layla was dead on the ground, funky steel stabbed into her and oozing out of her wounds. It was a disgusting, and a fowl site to see. The funky steel had finally corrupted and consumed her like it had once done to me, but this time I was too late. I leaned over next to her with a tear coming down my face. I blamed myself for her death, if only I was a second faster she would be alive.
I reacted fast, I grabbed a rope and tied a noose. I hanged it on a high coat hanger and slid my neck into the rope. I took a jump, my face turned blue and I was losing consciousness. I was regretting my decision already, I needed to get out of this death trap. I was being consumed by the funky steel just like Layla did. I quickly scanned the room for anything I could use to cut the rope. I saw a screw-driver and put it in between the noose and my neck so I could have a second to breath. I opened a drawer and found a tiny knife, I cut the rope and flew down to the ground. I called 911 before blacking out and losing consciousness. I woke up in the hospital and my old club boss drove me home.
To this day i still own a funky steel shop, I know it is very dangerous and I am very careful about what steel a sell these days. Come by my shop and take a look at all my funky steel products.
